History of The Sator Group 

 

As a result of the then GEC being unable to get their fire alarm systems serviced and maintained to a satisfactory level, Sator Systems Limited was born. We registered and set up shop in 1976

Having spent many years installing systems, Derek and the team had gained a wealth of experience in the fire industry. Derek was then asked if he could take on the responsibility of Service, Maintenance, 24 hour call out facility, and to implement additional fire systems for the group.

And so over the years Sator expanded the business, with emphasis on ‘Total Flood Gas extinguishing systems’, ‘CCTV Systems’,’ Intruder alarms’ and ‘Access control’ systems.

Sator has since achieved ‘Police and Insurance approvals’, NSI, Quality assurance ISO2002 and CHAS accreditations.

In 2002 Sator Systems Limited underwent various changes and Sator Fire & Security came into being.

We are now an SSAIB accredited company with Safe Contracting, ICO Data Protection Accreditation.

Our ethos since the company’s inception has always been to offer  the best products and service we can give our customers (to which they justly deserve),“All ways to go the extra bit” has been our mantra.

As a company we offer comprehensive and bespoke packages for Fire and Security Integrated Products.

Recent projects

Runenco Limited Animal feeds manufacturers, Derby Road, Burton on Trent.

Analogue Fire Alarm, Fully monitored Intruder alarm and Proximity Access control incorporated into the Time and attendance systems. 
 
We have recently upgraded and installed a fire alarm system to the whole site, Four networked Menvier touch screen analogue addressable fire alarm system with over 200 devices covering production areas, warehouses and offices. 
 
Intruder alarms have been upgraded with fully monitored Galaxy control panels and Cooper Security movement sensors and a soft wear controlled access system and the time and attendance clocking system utilising the same key fobs for all systems. 

Lion King Garden Centre, Bradley, Staffordshire

The Garden Centre was recently purchased and Sator Fire & Security designed and won the contract for the installation of a fully monitored Police calling Intruder Alarm System.

Using the Cooper Security Range of a Scantronic intruder alarm Control panel and combined Anti masking Passive infrared and microwave technology products for the whole site. 

Biometric Access

Due to the nature a the manufacturing a Biometric read in /read out PC controlled fingerprint Access Control system has been installed in the main entrance and warehouse areas .

This has stopped tailgating on entry as if you don’t read in you cant get out. The system is integrated into the Analogue Addressable Fire alarm system which we install several years ago to give an automatic Fire roll call in the event of an activation. 

Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel, Birmingham Road, Castle Bromwich

A grade 2 listed 16th Century mansion has been converted to a 5 star luxury hotel . Due to the status and the quality of the decorative plasterwork and the internal and external fabric of the building an EMS wireless fire alarm system with 190 wireless devices were installed working in consultation with the National Heritage, Building regulation the Fire Brigade The system is very sympathetic to the building and decor and was installed to everyone’s satisfaction. 
 
A security package comprising of a comprehensive 32 camera Samsung CCTV system with high resolution a ANPR camera system for all external cameras and discreet internal cameras have been installed throughout the external car parks and hotel areas. 

GSI Laser Group, Swift Valley, Rugby

A fully monitored intruder alarm was installed throughout the production areas and offices.

With 24 hour monitoring on all Fire Exits to ensure all exit & entry was controlled, The Cooper Security Scantronic range of control panels and movement detection was installed.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glass House, Westbourne Road, Birmingham

We have worked together on all our requirements and always with security cost effectiveness in mind. 
 
We recently had a major theft of lead from the gardens , Sator Fire & Security designed and upgraded our CCTV security with ANPR cameras and installed Remote Fasttrace CCTV monitoring to prevent any further problems which we are pleased to say it has. 
 
This was carried out with consultation with our insurers and their requirements and with the minimum of fuss or disruption to the day to day running of the gardens. 
 
This is exactly how we as a garden centre like to work with all our contractors and I am sure it will continue to do so.”
